Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus)

Lion's Mane, or hedgehog thorn mushroom, is known for its unique, white-furry fruiting body and medicinal properties. It is used both as a gourmet and health mushroom. Its flavor is reminiscent of shellfish, and its texture becomes meaty when cooked.

100 mycelium plugs are enough for about 2-3 meters of log with a diameter of 10-20 cm.

Cultivation recommendations:

You start with a fresh hardwood log ( birch, alder, beech or oak) drill small holes and insert a mycelium plug per hole which is then covered with grafting wax. The log is placed in a shady and moist place in the garden, where it is kept moist during the first season. A log can then produce a harvest for several years.
